Patent and Trademark Resource Center at Cline Library
The PTRC at Cline Library is the 93rd U.S. Patent and Trademark Resource Center in the country, and one of three in Arizona. The PTRC Program from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has been around since 1871 as a means of helping individuals and businesses navigate the patent and trademark process. Inventors, innovators, and entrepreneurs are invited to schedule a consultation to learn more about the search tools and resources offered by the USPTO.
Cline Library’s PTRC Representatives cannot provide legal advice or perform patent and trademark searches on your behalf. However, we can:
- Provide consultations and workshops demonstrating how to use patent and trademark search tools.
- Assist with reading and understanding patent information.
- Help you find a local patent attorney via the USPTO directory.
- Explain the patent and trademark application process.
- Offer outreach at community events.
- Show you how to access other USPTO resources.
