Internships
Cline Library Special Collections and Archives internships
Cline Library Special Collections and Archives welcomes applications from undergraduate and graduate students for semester-long, for credit, internship opportunities. Special Collections and Archives provides for credit internships for students interested in gaining valuable experience with archives, manuscripts, visual materials, oral histories, digitization, instruction, or outreach.
Elizabeth M. and P.T. Reilly Internship
A paid summer internship with an archival focus, is offered annually to a qualified graduate or senior undergraduate student interested in a career in information management.
The Summer 2024 intern will work closely with Special Collections and Archives (SCA) staff to develop an exhibit that explores the relationship between forests, forestry, and the city of Flagstaff, Arizona. The Reilly internship is an opportunity for the intern to research, design, and create both a physical display and a virtual online exhibit, to open and launch in October 2024.

Dorothy T. and James J. Hanks Endowments “Cline Library Hanks Scholars” program
This provides NAU students with the opportunity to engage in repeat photography projects with a faculty mentor. The paid internship may be for credit or no-credit. Photographs taken as part of the internship will become part of the collections at Cline Library’s Special Collections and Archives department.
