NAU part of group receiving $1,175,000 grant for second phase of project to improve accessible learning

For two years, NAU has been part of a multi-institutional project aimed at streamlining the process of providing resources for students with print disabilities. Now that collective effort, known as “FRAME,” will continue for another two years, thanks to a grant of $1,175,000 from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation for a second phase, “Federated Repositories of Accessible Materials for Higher Education II.”

Summer Library Project Focuses on Removing Duplicate Content
This summer the library is undertaking a project that will result in the removal of some bound print periodicals – but only titles that duplicate existing online access that has been secured to continue indefinitely.
The initial focus for this weeding project is print serials for which Cline Library has secured perpetual online access via JSTOR. The online JSTOR platform is well used by NAU users, who downloaded more than 130,000 articles from it in 2020.
