Scholarly communication & publishing

Get the help you need to move your works forward

Cline librarians can help NAU researchers with the dissemination, accessibility, and impact of their scholarly output. Learn more about working with us to promote and extend the public reach of your research and creative works.

Comply with open access mandates Accordion Closed

Publications and data generated from research funded by certain government agencies, as well as some private funders, are required to be made freely and publicly available (open access). We can help you:

  • understand open access mandates that apply to you
  • identify open access publishing opportunities
  • identifying repositories that comply with open access mandates

Promote your scholarly profile Accordion Closed

We can help you maximize your visibility by setting up researcher identifiers and researcher profiles; this also helps ensure increased visibility of research and that your citation, download, and other metrics are as complete as possible.

Researcher identifiers
    • ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID)
ORCID is a nonprofit organization whose unique researcher identifiers are interoperable with many different database systems
    • ResearcherID
InCites uses ResearcherID to compile a complete list of your publications. When setting up your account, use your NAU email address. Once you have created a ResearchID account, you can automatically export your account information and publication list to create an ORCID account.

Researcher profiles

The following services can help other researchers find you, learn about your research, and collaborate with you:

  • ResearchGate
