Focused housing
NAU Campus Living offers “Focused Housing” to further enhance opportunities for students to connect, live, and learn together around focused topics, shared identities, and/or common interests. Through community-building activities, educational programming, networking, academic support, and social and cultural events, community members deepen their learning and understanding, reduce social isolation, and build lasting connections within a supportive environment.
All students applying for on-campus housing are eligible to submit their interest in a focused housing options. Focused housing applicants are required to answer questions related to the community they are interested in, including how they plan to contribute to that focused housing community and what they hope to gain or learn by living in that focused housing community.

International House
The world comes together at Northern Arizona University’s International House (I-House) on our Flagstaff campus. This centrally located residential community is designed around students who are passionate about global cultures, foreign languages, and learning new perspectives. With both international and American residents—representing 22 primary languages—you’ll have a diverse social circle and amplify your academic experience.
Gender-Inclusive Housing
Gender-Inclusive Housing (GIH) was established in 2012 with the explicit goal of helping transgender, gender non-conforming, and questioning students experience a greater sense of safety and belonging while living on campus.
Honors College Housing
This vibrant, engaging, and academically focused Campus Living Community is a place for Honors students to connect, develop friendships, study, and collaborate with others who are passionate about learning and challenging themselves.
