Instagram story posts Accordion Closed
Community Instagram accounts are intended to promote life in each unique community. Posting to Instagram story accounts is limited to in-community programs and events, and important information from campus partners (NAU departments). Instagram story posts are a great option for information that needs to be timely, like events or job postings. Story posts are done, at minimum, once a week, and unlike feed posts, they are current and will display right away to our audience.
- Instagram story posts only
- Must be the correct size, file format, and orientation
- 16:9 portrait/vertical
- 1080px x 1920px
- Must meet NAU marketing standards
- YYYY-MM-Descriptive file name.jpg
- Email submissions to naureslife@nau.edu
Please note that Instagram stories need a safety space of 250px on the top and bottom of the image to allow for navigation and comment bars.

Campus Living Community poster/flyer advertisements Accordion Closed
We are limiting printed advertisements on campus to reduce paper waste, support the NAU green initiative, and help print marketing remain impactful. No handbills, door hangers, magnets, or any other promotional items will be permitted for distribution in Campus Living Communities*. Please contact CL-Comms@nau.edu to check availability. Campus Living approves a maximum of a two-week posting, except for semester schedules. Once all slots are full, digital options are always available. We encourage you to be mindful of your printing materials and quantity; the NAU print shop now offers several eco-minded options.
Posters/flyer specifications
- Size, orientation, and quantity:
- Poster (11×17) MUST be vertical (38 copies)
- Flyer (8.5×11) can be either horizontal or vertical (38 copies)
- Sponsor and contact information must be provided on the poster.
- Posters/flyers must be in good taste without anything demeaning or discriminatory.
- Posters/flyers must meet NAU Marketing standards.
- Election posters promoting an individual candidate are not accepted.
- If posters promote a series, Campus Living requests that posters be for a semester or year schedule.
Posters/flyer approval and distribution
- Please email CL-Comms@nau.edu a digital copy of your marketing for approval and to check for printed posting availability.
- We have a specific paper distribution policy and will require 38 copies exactly. Additional copies will be recycled.
- Paper advertisements should be delivered to Campus Living’s main reception (North Hall, bldg. 5) at least two weeks before your event, as it takes time for the posters to be approved and distributed.
- Event posters/flyers are removed immediately after the event; Informational posters/flyers are removed two weeks after approval.
August “room stuffing”
No “room stuffing” (distribution of flyers, magnets, door hangers, etc.) will occur before Lumberjack Fall Move-In.
