Donate, Don’t Ditch
Since 2006, Campus Living has helped students ditch the dumpster and made it easy to donate perfectly good items they do not want or need or cannot pack. Donated items benefit several local charities such as Sunshine Rescue Mission, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Goodwill. On average, students divert over 39,000 lbs of waste from our local landfill each year. Since its inception, the program has donated nearly 300,000 lbs of goods!
All on-campus residents can participate in the Donate, Don’t Ditch donation program. During spring move out, bins are located near community front desks for the donation of gently-used items. Needed items include clothing, school supplies, food, cleaning supplies and appliances!
