International Graduate Student Orientation
The Graduate College and the Center for International Education (CIE) strongly recommends that you arrive in Flagstaff as early as possible or, at the very least, one week before classes begin.
International students are required to check-in with the Center for International Education upon arrival in Flagstaff.
Orientations for international students
Two mandatory orientations are required for all new international graduate students. The first orientation is hosted by the Center for International Education, and the second orientation is hosted by the Graduate College.
Center for International Education Orientation (MANDATORY)
The Center for International Education Orientation session will help you learn about immigration regulations on visa
status, academic and social life at NAU, and the services offered by the Center for International Education. Tours of the campus and library may also be included.
The CIE Orientation will always be held the Monday prior to the first week of Fall semester classes. Please familiarize yourself with the Orientation Information provided by CIE, including dates and times for orientation.
Graduate College New Graduate Student Orientation (MANDATORY)
New international graduate students must also attend the New Graduate Student Orientation hosted by the Graduate College. This orientation will always be held on the Tuesday prior to the first week of Fall semester classes. Please refer to the Graduate College New Graduate Student Orientation website for specific dates and times.
