Standards of Residence
SPECIAL COVID-19 PANDEMIC REQUIREMENTS
Only residents and authorized personnel (no non-residents, other students, or off-campus visitors) may enter student residential facilities during the pandemic, with the following exception. During move-in and move-out, residents may be assisted by no more than two non-resident helpers, who must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and wear suitable face masks or coverings.
Except when occupying their assigned living space alone or with room or suite mates, all persons must wear suitable face masks or coverings while being present in, or when entering, exiting, or traversing residential facility public, common, or shared areas (g., entryways, lobbies, lounges, study rooms, laundry and exercise facilities, hallways, elevators, stairwells, etc.).
The requirement to wear a suitable face mask or covering also applies when hosting a fellow resident hall resident in one’s own assigned living space and when visiting a fellow residence hall resident in their assigned living space.
This policy establishes behavioral standards for Northern Arizona University’s residential facilities. Upon signing a University housing contract, all residents agree to abide by these requirements and expectations, which supplement the Student Code of Conduct. All residents are required to familiarize themselves with this policy. Violating these standards can result in loss of the privilege to reside in University housing.
