Conflict of Interest in Sponsored Projects
Northern Arizona University administers sponsored projects in a manner to maintain public trust in the integrity of its faculty, staff and programs. In furtherance of this goal, the University requires that an investigator’s private interests not result in actual or apparent bias of results or conflicts of interest in the design, conduct or reporting of sponsored projects. Investigators must disclose their external commitments and personal financial interests in a fashion consistent with all law, regulation and policies (including award-specific polices) designed to promote and maintain objectivity in research. This policy complements and extends the University’s Conduct, Ethics, Reporting, and Transparency (CERT) Program.
