The 2025-2026 Graduate Assistantship application with Campus Living opens December 16, 2024. Application closes, January 31, 2025 at 11:59 pm Mountain Time.
These positions serve a critical role in supporting students, staff, and the department in advancing our mission and foundational value areas through effective, intentional, and innovative initiatives and campus partnerships. We have 4 distinct graduate service assistantships available to enrolled full-time NAU students. Positions are listed below and applications are submitted in Handshake which include a cover letter, resume, and references.

Graduate Assistant Position Summaries
Community Staffing Assistantship Accordion Closed
Campus Living Community Graduate Assistants work directly with Campus Living Community (CLC) Coordinators to supervise a staff of Community Assistants (CA) within an assigned community. The CLC GA helps with the overall management of a CLC consisting of approximately 550-650 community members. With their direct supervisor, CLC GAs assist with community operations, resident engagement, and create an inclusive campus living community for all community members.
Initiatives and Partnerships Assistantship Accordion Closed
The CLIP GA has a primary focus on a designated foundational value and/or focus housing area. The CLIP GA directly supervises a team of 3-6 CLIP Peer Supporters (CLIPPS) to provide a synergistic living experience connecting community, wellness, academic and career porupose resources within the campus living communities. The CLIP GA role also has a primary partnership that can focus on advising student organizations, teaching NAU 100, serving on wellness coalitions, and/or working with focused housing communities.
Operations Assistantship Accordion Closed
The CLO GA supervises Campus Living Operations Assistants (CLOAs) and manages our year-round front desk services at each of our 17 campus living communities. The CLO GA supervises 6-11 CLOAs to ensure processes for scheduling, auditing keys, managing mail, and resource allocation are efficient and smooth. The CLO GA supports effective and intentional operational processes and programs.
Facilities Assistantship Accordion Closed
The Facilities GA supervises 15-25 Campus Living Facility Assistants (CLFAs), develops and manages facilities projects, and works with the Campus Living Community Staff and CLIP Staff to implement and promote strategic facilities improvements and processes. The Facilities GA utilizes StarRez, Shiftboard, WebTMA, and other software systems to track facility needs for each of our 17 campus living communities and surrounding areas.
