STAR: Eligibility & cost
Who can participate in the NAU STAR program?
The STAR program is open to new freshmen who are Arizona Residents and will be attending Northern Arizona University beginning in the fall semester. The student must:
- demonstrate financial need, be Pell Grant eligible
- be first-generation college students
How much does it cost?
The cost of the STAR program is approximately $4,000 and includes:
- summer school tuition
- housing
- meals
- books
The STAR program does not include or cover transportation to and from the university campus, or any personal expenses.
If selected to participate in the program, you will receive a university grant and, if eligible, the Pell Grant which will help cover cost of tuition, fees, books, and housing.
