Educational Specialties at NAU makes the admission process simple
To be admitted to this program, you must:
- have completed a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- be admitted to NAU’s Office of Graduate and Professional Studies
- complete a program of studies form with one of our graduate advisers and submit it to our department office
For the Master’s of Special Education with Certification only
You must have the following documents ready when you apply online to the Office of Graduate and Professional Studies:
- provide a copy of front and back of your current Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
- provide evidence of basic skills knowledge that includes:
- minimum of 3.0 or better in
- English 101 and 102 or equivalent OR
- English 105 (only if taken at NAU) or equivalent OR
- Equivalent English Composition/Writing course
- minimum grade of C or better in a college algebra course (or equivalent)
- minimum of a C or better in a laboratory science course
- minimum of 3.0 or better in
- submit the email address of a person who can provide an electronic recommendation of you
