Be prepared for success with NAU’s Educational Technology program

Given that all of our classes are online, you will need a fast and reliable computer and online connectivity to participate in our programs. Some books are also required.

Supplies

To fully participate in classes, you will need:

  • a reliable computer
  • a fast internet connection. DSL or cable is ideal, to make audio, video, and simultaneous activities with classmates and professors easier
  • microphone and headphones
  • webcam to interact with professors and classmates

Software

To make your experience as stress-free as possible, make sure you have the minimum software:

MS Office suite

Required:

  • Word
  • Excel
  • Power Point
  • PDF converter software

Optional:

  • Publisher or any design software
  • Adobe Acrobat

The Northern Arizona University Bookstore offers a reduced price on the MS Office suite. Another option is to download the free, compatible Open Office suite.

Some courses may require different software programs.

Books

Your professors will provide you with a list of required textbooks when you enroll in classes.

In addition, you are expected to use the  latest version of the American Psychology Association (APA) Style throughout the entire program of studies. You can locate a book or manual that details APA Style on the web or in a bookstore.
