Application Information
Find everything you need to know about completing an application for the Educational Technology Program.
Admission requirements
All prospective students applying to either or both the certificate and the master’s program should be proficient in the NETS-T (NETS for teachers).
For the MEd in Educational Technology degree, it is recommended, but not required, that you have a basic teacher’s certificate. Although our programs were designed for the P-16 classroom, people coming from corporations, private business, and government find that the programs are flexible so they can actually create products and apply their learning to their own workplace.
Because students come to graduate programs with different academic and professional experiences, five different avenues for admission are available. You will be admitted if you meet ONE of the following criteria:
- have graduated with an undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher
- have a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the last 60 semester hours of the bachelor’s degree
- score at or above the 25th percentile on the subject test in the education portion of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
- score at or above the 25th percentile on the general verbal and quantitative portions of the GRE (or makes comparable
- scores on the Miller Analogies Test)
- have completed nine approved hours from Northern Arizona University with a 3.3 GPA
- if graduate work has been taken, your GPA must be 3.0 or higher.
