Diné Language Teachers Project

The Diné Dual Language Teachers Professional Development Project works with teachers with proficiency in the Diné language and high academic achievement to meet licensing requirements for teachers who work in language instruction education programs.

Non-resident professional licensure information

If you are not a resident of Arizona, and you are taking an online course or program leading to professional licensure, NAU cannot confirm whether the course or program meets requirements for professional licensure in your state. Please check with the appropriate licensing board in your state to determine whether the course or program meets the requirements for licensure in your state.

Graduate Student Departmental Scholarship Opportunities

Every spring the Educational Specialties department has a limited number of graduate assistantships and tuition waivers available for qualifying students. Check the Graduate Assistantship and Tuition Waiver page for more information on these and other financial assistance opportunities.

NAU program helps kids with special needs navigate online learning

Michelle Novelli and other faculty/staff and seniors in the PRAXIS program in COE that helped to kick-start a new program to help seniors get credit for helping students with disabilities with virtual learning. The program was featured on Channel 3/CBS 5 and in the Arizona Republic.
