Rebecca S. Bartlett, PhD, CCC-SLP is an assistant professor at Northern Arizona University whose research involves using mixed methods to understand oropharyngeal swallowing, the psychosocial consequences of swallowing disorders, and the relevant treatment implications. Dr. Bartlett teaches a graduate course in swallowing, and undergraduate courses in anatomy and physiology and senior capstone. She also mentors graduate student research projects. Prior to coming to NAU, Dr. Bartlett earned a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology at University of Iowa and a PhD from University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has worked as a speech-language pathologist in medical settings both domestically and abroad, and uses these experiences to inform her teaching and research.
