Emi Isaki specializes in adult neurogenic communication disorders. Her experience as a speech-language pathologist includes work in medical acute care settings, outpatient services, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing facilities. Her areas of clinical research include: cognitive-communication rehabilitation for adults with traumatic brain injury (TBI), pragmatic/social communication, community re-entry of adults following stroke and TBI, and service delivery through telepractice. She mentors students involved in adult neurogenic research projects, and supervises graduate student clinicians in the NAU Speech and Hearing Clinic. Evaluations and treatment are provided for clients with aphasia, right hemisphere disorders, TBI, and dementia.
