Julie Heynssens (Senior Lecturer SICCS) and students from EE490 Semiconductor Memories spent a week outside of class visiting Micron in Boise, Idaho. While at Micron, they got to learn about DRAM, Flash, and Advanced Technology Development through the life cycle of the product. Students got to see how masks and integrated circuits are fabricated. They got to visit the High Speed, Testing, and Failure Analysis Labs and look at device cross sections through electron microscopes. And much more…
