Electrical Engineering, Minor

Electronics and electricity are used by those in almost every career field as a tool to measure important phenomena, visualize data, manipulate and save information, analyze trends, control processes and save labor. Just imagine how productive you would be if the power went out and all the things you use every day had dead batteries. A minor in electrical engineering can give you the added knowledge that can make you stand out, be more productive, and give your resume an extra glow.

We will challenge your inquisitive mind and prepare you to succeed through an emphasis on innovation, real-world applications, and evolving technologies. Learn the technical and people skills employers are looking for in the innovative and award-winning Design4Practice Program. Develop your tech-savvy by using industry-caliber design, simulation, and analysis tools. Build your teamwork, communication, and thinking skills by collaborating on student design projects.

This minor is designed for students who "get a charge out of" the many engineering applications of electricity. This plan provides the logical next step for students who want to gain expertise in using industry-caliber tools for design, analysis, simulation—and innovation stimulation.
