Who gets in?
Because our MS program maintains a small student-faculty ratio, we accept only 30 Full-time and 30 Summer Track students per year.

Prospective students
Applications submission deadline is February 1st. It is strongly recommended that you submit your full application package well before the deadline.
CSD Student Application Checklist:
- Check eligibility requirements for graduate program of interest.
- Apply to the NAU OGPS.
- Apply to CSDCAS: https://csdcas.liaisoncas.com. Applications must include:
- A personal essay that addresses the prompt “What are your reasons for pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Speech-Language Pathology and how does Northern Arizona University’s graduate program align with your personal and professional interests?”
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. This includes transcripts from any foreign institution taken as part of a study abroad program.
- Official transcripts must be sent directly to CSDCAS from the colleges or universities to:

- 3 letters of recommendation. Please note: requests for letters from CSD faculty should take place no later than Oct. 1 to allow sufficient time for letter development.
- Full-time applicants: at least two letters from CSD faculty are strongly recommended for students applying to the Full-time track.
- Full-time Leveler applicants: at least two letters from academic faculty are strongly recommended for students applying to the Leveler track.
- Summer applicants: at least one letter from an SLP supervisor or other employer should be included for students applying to the Summer track.
- GRE scores are not required.
- All applications for all tracks are due by February 1, 2025 at 8:59pm PST (11:59pm EST).
- CSDCAS applications must show the status ‘Complete’ by February 1st and ‘Verified’ by February 15th.
- Applicants can view the status of all of their CSDCAS applications on the ‘Check Status’ tab at the top right of the application portal.

- Your CSDCAS application must state “Complete” by the February 1st.
- It must state “Verified” by February 15th.
- This includes official transcripts, letters of recommendation, and the personal essay. Deadline is precisely at 11:59 PM Eastern Standard time (8:59 PM Pacific Standard time)! NOTE: Both application deadlines are set, even though the electronic CSDCAS application may remain open for other purposes.
- Once submitted, please check the status of your CSDCAS application regularly to confirm it is completed and verified.
