Population Health Research Group
We study social, economic, and ethnic variation in health using large representative U.S. samples.
Is the relationship quality or quantity more important for psychological versus physical well-being?
Do cardiovascular risk factors explain why people with more social connections live longer?
Interest in learning advanced quantitative techniques are essential to this work. Replication (both within and across samples) and open workflow (i.e., creating transparent and shareable analytic code) are emphasized in our lab.
