Message from the Psychological Sciences Department Chair

Welcome to the Department of Psychological Sciences!  These are challenging times that we are in….but your education, whether at the undergraduate or graduate level, has never been more important to us. Heidi Wayment, Ph.D., Chair, Department of Psychological SciencesWe invite you to explore our website to learn about our faculty (with their teaching and research expertise), student fieldwork and research opportunities, student successes, and information about our undergraduate and graduate degree programs—including our 3+2 undergraduate/graduate program. Our courses cover a wide range of topics in the psychological sciences including those related to clinical, cognitive, developmental, health, organizational, physiological, and social psychology—with consistent attention paid to the methods used by psychologists to understand human affect, cognition, and behavior. On these pages, you can begin to discover how our department helps to provide NAU students solid preparation for a variety of careers and advanced study.
