High Altitude Qualitative Research Lab

The High Altitude Qualitative Research Lab (HAQL) provides space for qualitative researchers to learn, work and collaborate, as well as hardware (e.g., Mac, digital audio recorders) and software (transcription software) to support these endeavors. The space has equipment to support transcription of digital recordings, data analysis, and preparation of scholarly works and provides a meeting area for working groups. Current research includes the analysis of focus group data exploring the experience of partners in dual military marriages and investigations of cancer and health disparities in Native American communities. HAQL is partially funded by the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command’s, DoD; NIH/NCI The Partnership for Native American Cancer Prevention; NAU TRIP Program Native Americans Exploring Global Health Disparities; and the Department of Psychology.
