Have ambitious goals for your music career? Reach them. NAU’s Kitt School of Music is proud to offer a Master of Music (MM) for students to enhance and develop their artistic and intellectual skills, leading to fruitful careers as music educators, conductors, or performances. Emphases include:
- Choral conducting
- Composition
- Instrumental conducting
- Instrumental performance
- Musicology/ethnomusicology
- Music Theory
- Piano Accompanying and chamber music
- Vocal performance
The path to your master’s
Kitt School of Music graduate students must have a bachelor’s degree in music, a 3.0 cumulative GPA, a TOEFL score of at least 80, and a major professor and/or area approval for the candidate’s subplan. All candidates must first apply to the NAU Office of Graduate and Professional Studies. Learn more about the graduate admissions process.
