Tutoring

Academic resources are available for the College of the Environment, Forestry, and Natural Science students

There are two Academic Success Centers (ASC) locations on campus in Flagstaff to help students in the College of the Environment, Forestry, and Natural Sciences (CEFNS). The mission is to assist and empower students to excel academically while being engaged with the university. The ASCs offer personalized peer support and resources that build confidence, cultivate independent learning, and foster collaborative connections within the CEFNS and greater NAU communities.

Tutoring Accordion Closed

FREE tutoring services available to NAU engineering, forestry, and science students include one-on-one, drop-in, and online tutors. For more information, please visit the tutoring webpage.

Supplemental instruction Accordion Closed

Supplemental instruction at the ASCs are a series of peer-facilitated weekly review sessions for students taking difficult and challenging courses across NAU, including those in the College of the Environment, Forestry, and Natural Sciences. Academic peer mentoring Accordion Closed

The ASC peer mentors are current NAU students who work one-on-one with other NAU students to assist in developing strong study skills. Students in any CEFNS classes may receive mentoring. For more information, please visit the academic peer mentoring webpage.

 

SNNA-LSAMP

The Southern Nevada Northern Arizona Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (SNNA-LSAMP) program supports underrepresented minority students pursuing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) through a comprehensive approach to student development, community building and career readiness.  Please see the LSAMP page for more information.
