Supplemental instruction (SI)

What is SI?

Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a series of peer-facilitated weekly review sessions for students taking historically challenging courses. SI is free, open to all students, and voluntary. SI Leaders are current students who have previously taken the course, performed well, and want to help others succeed.

Fall 2017 SI Schedule

SI sessions are an opportunity for you to:

  • discuss and review important concepts from class
  • develop study strategies
  • ask questions in an engaging and interactive format
  • work with peers in a small-group study environment

Research shows that students who attend SI regularly earn fewer Ds and Fs than students who don't utilize SI, and --on average-- get a higher final course grade.
