What is a virtual symposium? Accordion Closed
A virtual conference is hosted entirely over the Internet. It will allow attendees to access presentations from their computers. Attendees participate through a conference website designed specifically for the virtual conference. The site is where you will view poster presentations and pre-recorded oral presentations.

The conference is open to anyone to view and participate.
Will there be any live presentations? Accordion Closed
At this point there will be no live presentations, only pre-recorded videos and poster presentations.
What are the technical requirements needed to participate? Accordion Closed
To participate, you need an Internet connection and web browser. For the best viewing experience, we recommend that you join the symposium using a supported internet browser, which includes Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Internet Explorer is not recommended as some functions, such as chat, are not fully supported.
How much do I need to pay to register for the virtual symposium? Accordion Closed
The virtual conference is free of cost.
What time does the conference start? Accordion Closed
The link to the virtual symposium will open on April 12 at 8:00 AM (PST). Convert to your local time here.
How do I login to the virtual symposium? Accordion Closed
The virtual symposium link, which is open to everyone. If you are an NAU affiliate, use your NAU credentials to log in. If you are not affiliated with NAU, then create an account using a different email and password.
Who do I contact for technical help if I continue to have access problems after troubleshooting on my own? Accordion Closed
Please contact ug-research@nau.edu for technical help. First be sure that you are logged in to the Virtual Symposium website with your NAU CAS ID. Please be sure that your internet connection is working. If you still need technical assistance, please email us as stated above.
What kind of research is presented at the virtual symposium? Accordion Closed
Students from across the university present their work. Everything from exhibits with students painting to an oral presentation of a play they wrote to posters talking about the correlation between social media and body image. Research asks the question “what’s next?” and anyone from any discipline has work that has stemmed from that question.
Does the Virtual Symposium have any visual and performing arts presentations? Accordion Closed
Yes! Visual and performing arts students can participate in the symposium by submitting recorded art projects or oral presentations.
Can I attend if I am not presenting? Accordion Closed
Most definitely! We would love to see you there. Come and enjoy all of the work that students from across the university will be presenting or simply come to see what all the talk is about. There is so much to see, bring a friend and enjoy!

Because the event is in a virtual format the gallery of presentations will be open from April 12-16. You can access the link at any time during those days.
Can I invite friends, family, and professors to attend the virtual symposium? Accordion Closed
Yes! The more the merrier. Please invite anyone that you feel would like to see what students have been working on throughout the year. Anyone with the link will be able to access the Virtual Symposium and we would love to have more people see what all the students have worked on.
