- Application Procedures: Two letters of recommendation from persons who can attest to the student’s dedication in her/his chosen career; a written essay stating why you want to teach music; your goals for yourself and for your students during student teaching; the challenges you expect to encounter and how you will begin to solve these challenges; and your philosophy of teaching and that of teaching music. Include in this statement any particular challenges you have experienced while working towards your goals, both philosophic and financial.
