Department of STEM Education

STEM education in Arizona starts at NAU!

The Department of STEM Education (DSE) houses undergraduate academic programs for pre-service science and mathematics teachers (in partnership with the Department of Mathematics and Statistics) and graduate programs for both pre-service and in-service science teachers. The department also co-sponsors the PhD program in Curriculum and Instruction for STEM professionals. Additionally, the DSE houses the Center for STEM Teaching and Learning (CSTL), which engages in STEM education research, professional learning, community engagement, and outreach programs.
