The Center for Science Teaching and Learning (CSTL) shapes the future of STEM education through research, professional learning, and outreach. Our faculty team conducts high-impact scholarship in STEM education through collaborations with scholars across the globe, students, and community members. Our research associates team partners with university faculty, educators, and community members to provide professional learning and development, collaborative grant development, community programs, and educational research services. CSTL customizes our professional learning programs to best meet the needs of partners.
Our professional learning programs use research-based strategies to develop STEM content understanding, integrate engineering practices, and implement the vision of STEM education for all. The CSTL has over 30 years of experience in successful grant writing and program implementation. The CSTL is part of the Department of STEM Education and the College of Education at Northern Arizona University.
