Navigating the different types of work authorizations
There are multiple types of work authorizations available to J-1 international students. Each type of work authorization has different rules, application processes, and timelines. Some are authorized by International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) in just a few days and others must be approved by United States Customs and Immigration Services (USCIS) and take a few months to process.
