NAU Symphony Orchestra Concert:
A Family Affair

The NAU Symphony will perform a family-friendly concert for Family Weekend. Members of the Community Music and Dance Academy will join the orchestra in a choreographed performance of Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty Suite. Also on the program are Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries, Stravinsky's Violin Concerto in D, and Bartok's Roumanian Folk Dances.

NAU Symphony Orchestra Concert:
A Dance with Death

The Orchestra welcomes Jeffrey Swan, Artist in Residence, to perform the breathtaking Totentanz (Dances of Death) by Franz Liszt. Also on the program are Borodin's Polovtzian Dances, Puccini's Intermezzo from Suor Angelica, and a sampling of Mozart, including the Andante from his Sinfonia Concertante, and the Finale from his Symphony No. 41.

Shakespeare in Love

The Orchestra falls head-over-heels for Shakespeare in this Romeo and Juliet-themed Valentines Day event, performing selections from Bernstein's Westside Story, Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet Suite, among others. The concert will conclude with Tchaikovksy's heart-wrenching Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture.
