The CSTL provides professional development to educators and educational organizations to improve Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education. Our customized professional development services use research based strategies to develop science content understanding, integrate real world engineering practices, and implement Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
The CSTL offers program evaluation and assessment for teacher preparation, teacher professional development and higher education STEM programs. Services include program planning, developing evaluation plans and logic models, data collection, analysis and reporting.

Professional Development Associate
The Center for Science Teaching and Learning at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff is seeking to fill a professional development associate position in science education that will serve Arizona science educators. While duties may vary based on expertise and the nature of current projects, the individual in this position is responsible for serving as a team member in obtaining external project funding and for the planning, delivery, and evaluation of professional development services both on the NAU campus and at educational sites around the state.
