Coconino County Community Services Department: Senior Services
Overview
The intern would work closely under the supervision of the Case Manager and be
assigned to work with individuals 60 years of age and over. They will
also work with physically challenged individuals.
Duties
The intern would:
- meet with clients and family members after a
referral has been made
- complete case management assessments to assess
the needs of individuals and turn in documents in a timely manner
- develop a service plan for their needs
- attend social service agency meetings in order
to learn about formal and informal resources available to the client
- attend any staff in-house meetings or training
Qualifications
To qualify, you must:
- like to work with older adults
- be sensitive to the needs of the elderly
- be able to communicate not only with the case
managers but also with all members of the senior services department and
community based organizations
- have your own means of transportation
