Coconino County Adult Probation
Overview
Probation is an alternative to prison. The goal is rehabilitation of
offenders and restoration to community and victim(s). For students
interested in the probation field, this internship is a good way to get an inside
look at the criminal justice system and other arenas throughout Coconino County
that work together in rehabilitation and restoration.
Duties
The areas the intern may work in include, but are not
limited to:
- pre-sentence
- specialized caseloads (sex offenders, domestic
violence offenders, mental health, etc.)
- standard probation supervision
- intension probation supervision
- drug court
- community service
