Coconino County Adult Probation

Probation is an alternative to prison.  The goal is rehabilitation of offenders and restoration to community and victim(s).  For students interested in the probation field, this internship is a good way to get an inside look at the criminal justice system and other arenas throughout Coconino County that work together in rehabilitation and restoration.

The areas the intern may work in include, but are not limited to:

  • pre-sentence
  • specialized caseloads (sex offenders, domestic violence offenders, mental health, etc.)
  • standard probation supervision
  • intension probation supervision
  • drug court
  • community service
