Giselle Viera-Soto is one more of TOC’s graduating seniors! She started at NAU in 2017 and now, Spring 2020, she will be another Lumberjack Alumni. We here at NAU’s Transfer and Online Connections are so proud of all her accomplishments.
In her time at TOC, she has accomplished so much and has blossomed as a mentor and student. Giselle says that the program helped her confidence and helped her make many friends. She said she has realized in her time working as a mentor that she likes helping people as their mentor. She shines brightly on our team and is always around if someone needs help.
Giselle recommends to new transfers to “Find your people. Whether it’s in a club or in a class or at the lounge. Once you have people you can talk to and hang out with things start getting easier.”
She is double majoring in Communication Studies and Spanish. She was accepted into the School Counseling Graduate program at NAU and will be the Graduate Assistant for TOC next year.
Outside of school, Giselle enjoys reading, helping people and watching telenovelas.
We wish her luck in her graduate program and we thank her for all she has done for our program. She will always be family here at TOC and as a Lumberjack at NAU. Congratulations, Giselle!
