Dr. Clare Aslan is an Associate Professor in SES and co-director of the Center for Adaptable Western Landscapes. SES Associate Professor Donna Shillington was recently elected by her peers to serve as Secretary of the Tectonophysics Section of the American Geophysical Union, the world’s largest earth and space science society. Geology alum shows the importance of groundwater to the Colorado River
SES alum Riley Swanson and Dr. Abe Springer have a new paper out in Hydrogeology Journal showing that the Colorado River gets an important part of its flow from groundwater that flows into the river from springs in the Grand Canyon region. Read more at NAU News.
