Model UN

Welcome to NAU’s Model United Nations that includes students from PIA

Our Model UN club, comprised of students from Political Sciences & International Affairs, has grown from four students meeting quietly in the library to a boastful forty student membership that meets on Tuesday and Thursday of each week. Our club is one of the more prominent academic clubs on campus. Through rigorous research and serious academic debate, NAU’s Model UN has become increasingly competitive and is now ranked as one of the top 75 teams in North America.

Who are we? Accordion Closed

According to Best Delegate, a Model UN resource website, NAU has one of the top seventy-five competitive MUN teams in the country and we are poised for another great year. Collectively through representation of different countries, fierce debate, and participation in national and international conferences, NAU Model UN has helped train future generations for political, international, and public centered careers and has promoted new voices in the global conversation. Though the team is heavily influenced by political and international affairs, Model United Nations is open to students of all majors, interests, and skills.

What do we do? Accordion Closed

Northern Arizona University Model United Nations is an elite academic club designed to promote an interest in and an understanding of the inner-workings of the United Nations. With a membership of over forty students, NAU Model UN has excelled in numerous academic conferences hosted by universities such as USC, UCLA, UC Berkeley, McGrill University, and Harvard. Together this student run organization trains in the fields of debate, research, and resolution writing in order to become competitive in these conferences and win awards in their respective committees.
