Scholarships
We award a number of scholarships to outstanding students
enrolled in or entering one of our undergraduate or graduate programs.
The awards are announced each year in April during the
Mathematics and Statistics Honors Week reception.

Eligibility:

junior majoring (full-time enrollment) in mathematics, statistics, or
Mathematics Education

cumulative GPA of 3.0

aspirations to be a high school mathematics teacher
- Preference
to Arizona high school graduates

Joseph Mutter Mathematics Scholarship
Eligibility:
- Outstanding
sophomore, junior, or senior majoring in mathematics or statistics or mathematics
education
- Preference
will be given to graduates of high schools in Coconino County

Hall Scholarship
Eligibility:
- Deserving
junior or senior majoring in mathematics or statistics
- Preference
will be given to candidates maintaining or exceeding a cumulative GPA of 3.0
who demonstrate scholastic merit and/or financial need

Harvey Butchart
Mathematics Scholarship
Eligibility:
- Outstanding junior or senior majoring in mathematics,
statistics, or mathematics education

Application process
Read more- Complete a scholarship application form and return it with academic transcripts as indicated on
the form.
- Arrange for two scholarship recommendation forms to be filled out and returned. Recommenders should
typically be professors in your mathematics or statistics courses.

Graduate scholarships
Available
graduate scholarships and approximate award values:
The Arthur and Catharine B. Adel Scholarship (Mathematics Award)
Eligibility:
Outstanding incoming and/or continuing graduate student in mathematics, statistics,
or math education.
Approximate
value: $1,500 total for one or two scholarships
Carlson Diekelman Rushall Schroeder Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Eligibility:
Graduate teaching assistant in mathematics exhibiting excellence in the
classroom as both a student and teacher.
Approximate
value: $500
Application process
If
you are a grad student, there is no formal scholarship application process. All
graduate students and teaching assistants are considered for these awards.
