A great way to complement your degree and increase your practical experience is by participating gain theatre experience and practice is by participating in one of our student organizations and faculty-led groups.

Arizona Playmakers
Originally called Kilani Nilani, Arizona Playmakers, was founded in 1923, and is one of the oldest clubs on campus. Arizona Playmakers (or AZP for short) provides provides opportunities for additional performance beyond the active theatre program, and membership is open to all students. AZP hosts the seasoned, well-known improvisational troupe, NAUghty Bits, which performs throughout Flagstaff, on campus, and annually at FRACAS, the national improvisation festival.
USITT
The United States Institute for Theatre Technology, Inc. (USITT) is the association of design, production, and technology professionals in the performing arts and entertainment industry. The purpose of NAU USITT is to actively promote a free exchange of ideas and information regarding all theatre skills and technologies; to engage in research, education, publication and other related projects. Membership in USITT is open to all students.
Alpha Psi Omega
Alpha Psi Omega is the National Theatre Honor Society that works towards establishing dramatic production in theatre students and universities. APO offers membership after a student achieves a certain level of experience and academic performance. APO is also a service organization. Membership is by application and invitation.
