Three physical therapy visits are provided pro bono to those who are uninsured, underinsured or otherwise financially challenged in their access to physical therapy. Donations are gratefully accepted.

Responsibility Accordion Closed

Health care is valuable. We are able to serve a limited volume of those who truly need physical therapy on a pro bono basis. When you reserve your three appointments, please intend to keep them.

Please notify PT Clinic Coordinator, Michelle Cook immediately if a conflict arises so another patient may be offered your appointment time. She can be reached at nauptclinic@nau.edu or 928-523-4092.

Expectations Accordion Closed

For all three appointments, patients should dress in loose fitting clothing that allows free movement.

Visit #1 -A student/clinician team will conduct a medical history interview, followed by a physical examination pertinent to the presenting musculoskeletal complaint/symptoms. Examination findings are evaluated and explained. Treatment options to address the complaint are discussed, agreed upon and then carried out. Two follow up visits are necessary to provide treatment, assess response to treatment and co-create an effective self-care plan.

The emphasis of this clinical education experience is for our doctoral student physical therapists is musculoskeletal therapeutics. Accordingly the treatment offered is likely to include, but not be limited to, manual therapy interventions, health education and therapeutic exercises.

Parking Accordion Closed

Off campus patients:  Upon making an appointment for physical therapy, patients will be issued a parking code.  This code may be used at PARKING KIOSKS to obtain a free pass, valid only for the day.
