Professional Dispositions Modules
Dispositions are qualities one possesses or acquires to meet the expectations of a profession. The Model Code of Ethics for Educators (NASDTEC, 2015) are the professional standards and dispositions that teachers must possess and adhere to in order to be effective in their classroom and the profession. The Professional Dispositions Module (PDM) should be completed at the beginning of the program of study to ensure you possess an understanding of the foundational topics that govern an educator’s practice including understanding professional standards of practice, code of ethics, and relevant laws and policies (Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation, Initial-Level Program Standard 3.6; Advanced-Level Program Standard A.3.4) prior to working with PK-12 students.
