Here in northern Arizona, NAU provides the backdrop for a wide spectrum of performances and artistic displays. Throughout the year you can take in a play, attend an opera performance, enjoy vocalists, and peruse art exhibits.

A lifelong artist and Assistant Professor in NAU’s School of Art, David Winslow Van Ness is known as the “power user” of the 3D printer in Cline Library’s MakerLab.

Designing the future at New York Fashion Week

Kitt Recital Hall

Kitt Recital Hall is the newest addition to NAU’s performance halls. The 250-seat capacity hall has state-of-the-art acoustics, music rehearsal spaces, and music libraries.

In discussing the acoustics, Professor and School of Music Director Todd E. Sullivan explained, “The configuration of the wood is designed to send the sound all around the room, creating a giant matrix of sound waves. This hall will move sound in complex and rich ways.” (Arizona Daily Sun, August 23, 2019 )

Art galleries

The College of Arts and Letters maintains two galleries on campus allowing students and faculty to display their art. These galleries—the Beasley Gallery and the NAU Art Museum—are open to the community.

Cline Library – Special Collections and Archives

Cline Library maintains a collection of research materials on the history of northern Arizona and the Colorado Plateau. Many of these materials are available digitally.
