NAU Internal Group Events Accordion Open
The Auditoria loves hosting NAU events! We frequently host ceremonies, holiday parties, lectures, presentations, and collaborative events for different groups all across campus. Booking with the Auditoria is a low-stress way to host a great event. Our crew takes care of all set-up and clean-up needs, and will be there to help you throughout the event. You will be invoiced for the room rate and labor costs once your event is over – equipment use is all included! You can contact us to inquire about availability and get a quote for your event.
All internal groups are required to complete the Campus Events Form.
Student Group Events Accordion Closed
Student groups can rent one of our venues at a discounted rate. You will be invoiced for the room rate and labor costs once your event is over – equipment use is all included! Ashurst Hall is a prime location for many student group events, because of the flexibility of the space to suit many types of events and the affordability.
If any of these policies are broken there may be an extra charge for any clean-up or damages, or your group may be banned from renting a space from the Auditoria again in the future.
- No smoking or vaping of any kind is allowed in the building
- No alcohol possession or consumption
- No hitting/throwing large objects that could damage the lights or other equipment
- No water/food/messy substances allowed on the stage. This includes eggs, shaving cream, jelly, flour, etc. – there is a lot of electrical equipment that could be damaged
- No jumping on/off the edge of the stage
- No using equipment for anything other than its intended purpose
- No fire of any kind
- No helium balloons
- No glitter
All student groups are required to complete the Campus Events Form as well as obtain approval from True Blue Connects.
External Group Events Accordion Closed
External groups are always welcome to inquire about availability, and we would be happy to host your event! The venue rental, labor, and equipment costs for an event will be billed after the conclusion of the event. You can request a cost estimate to get a ballpark idea of what your event will cost before confirming your reservation. Commercial and non-NAU events will require specific contracts and must meet Northern Arizona University’s insurance requirements. For Non-Profit groups, a 20% discount is applied to the venue rental cost.
All external groups are required to complete the Campus Events Form.
Kitt School of Music Events Accordion Closed
Kitt School of Music holds a majority of their events in the Auditoria venues. Academically required events are always given first priority on our calendar, and events involving faculty or guest artists are supported when possible.
For students looking to schedule their junior or senior recital, please coordinate with your professor to complete a Recital Request Form.
Venue specific information for reservations
Ardrey Memorial Auditorium Accordion Closed
- Seats 1,300 in total! There are roughly 900 seats on the orchestra level, and 400 seats in the balcony.
- Best suited for large ensemble performances, or events with an expected attendance of over 250.
- Food & drink is not allowed inside Ardrey Memorial Auditorium with the exception of bottled water. To hold a catered reception prior to or post another event please inquire about the availability of the Kitt Atrium space or Ashurst Hall.
- This venue requires at least 9 Auditoria employees to be staffed to ensure a smoothly executed event. You can ask for a quote to get an estimate of labor costs before the event, but they are subject to change as the actual time of your event set-up and clean-up may vary slightly. As such, the labor costs for holding an event here will be much more substantial than an event held in Kitt Recital Hall or Ashurst Hall, which require a minimum of 3 employees to staff an event.
- Ardrey Memorial Auditorium has an extensive list of equipment available to our users. From projection, to amplification, to illumination – we’ve got you covered! Please refer to our Ardrey Auditorium Technical Specifications – 2024 to see the equipment available listed out. If we don’t have everything you need, we highly recommend users rent specialty audio equipment from PEAKS AUDIO.
Kitt Recital Hall Accordion Closed
- Kitt Recital Hall seats 250.
- Acoustically spectacular space for small ensembles or solo artists – no monitors or sound reinforcement needed!
- Food & drink is not allowed inside Kitt Recital Hall with the exception of bottled water. To hold a catered reception prior to or post another event please inquire about the availability of the Kitt Atrium space or Ashurst Hall.
- Projection equipment available for presentations and guest speakers.
- Requires at least 3 Auditoria employees to be staffed to ensure a smoothly executed event. You can ask for a quote to get an estimate of labor costs before the event, but they are subject to change as the actual time of your event set-up and clean-up may vary slightly.

Kitt Atrium (Receptions) Accordion Closed
The Kitt Atrium refers to the open lobby space just outside Kitt Recital Hall. This space can be used as a reception venue. If you are interested in adding on a catered reception to an event you already have booked in Ardrey Auditorium or Kitt Recital Hall please contact us to check the availability of the space.
- Pipe and drape can be rented in order to section off a reception area and make it a private event, as the atrium is a public space open to both students & passerby.
- 7 high-top cocktail tables are available to be used for receptions in this space, but linens for these tables must be ordered through NAU Catering.
- Microphones and projection equipment can be set up in this space for additional equipment and labor charges.
- Any event serving alcohol must obtain a waiver through NAU Catering.
Ashurst Hall Accordion Closed
- Ashurst Hall is a beautiful ballroom-style venue with a stage located in historic Old Main that’s an elegant option for small performances, banquets, lectures, dances, and wedding receptions.
- A widely adaptable room allows for varying setups. A banquet-style set-up can seat up to 200 attendees maximum, while chairs in theater-style seating can fit up to 250 attendees maximum.
- Food and drink are allowed in Ashurst Hall, and NAU Catering can be ordered for events held here. Please note that tablecloths and linens must be ordered through catering and are NOT provided by the venue.
- Any event serving alcohol must obtain a waiver through NAU Catering.
- Requires at least 2 Auditoria employees to be staffed to ensure a smoothly executed event.
- Projection equipment available for presentations and guest speakers. Please refer to our Ashurst Hall Technical Specifications – 2024 to see the equipment available listed out.
