Tom Uno

Originally from Hawaii, Tom completed his formal education at the University of Colorado at Boulder, obtaining a Bachelor or Arts degree in developmental psychology, and at Vanderbilt University, where he completed a Master of Arts degree and Ed.S degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Tom has over 25 years experience in Developmental Disabilities in governmental as well as university settings, providing direct service, advocacy, outreach, and development. His focus and expertise is concentrated in policy and program development and grant management. He is currently Assistant Director of the Institute for Human Development (IHD), a University Center on Disabilities (UCD) and as such participates in the management and planning for all core functions and project coordination. In addition, he provides administrative and programmatic assistance for all new grants and contracts, represents the Institute at state and national committees/councils, and serves as project director on different grant/contracts.
