NAU's Professional Education Programs (PEP) consists of 41 undergraduate and graduate programs across four colleges, College of Arts& Letters, College of Education, College of Engineering, Forestry, & Natural Sciences, and the College of Health & Human Services, that prepare teachers and school administrators, counselors, psychologists, and speech therapists. During AY 2015-2016, there were approximately 2,150 candidates enrolled in initial teacher preparation programs and over 500 graduates.  There were over 1,000 students enrolled in advanced programs and over 340 graduates. Our professional education programs were the first and remain the only of public and private educator preparation providers in Arizona to receive NCATE accreditation (2011). NAU PEP is now in the process of seeking reaccreditation through the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
