Opens January 17, 2023!
What do I need to do?
- Complete your FAFSA, even if you don’t intend to take out loans. The College of Education Scholarships Committee takes FAFSA financial need information in to account when making award selections.
- International students: in lieu of the FAFSA there is an opportunity to provide details about your financial need in Step One of your application by checking the “I am an international student” checkbox.
- Complete your online COE Scholarships Application. Click here to learn more about what your application needs to contain and best practices for success.
How does the College of Education award the scholarships?
After submission, your scholarship application will be assessed in a blind review by four different faculty in the College of Education. The lowest score is dropped and average scores are used to rank applications, with final award selections made by the COE Scholarships Committee, usually in May/June after the application closes. All applicants will receive communication regarding whether they received an award at this time.
If you are selected for a scholarship you will be notified via email and text message (if you opt in for text notifications in your application). To confirm your award you will need to return the following:
- Award contract
- Thank-you letter
