Explore nursing degree options available at our southern Arizona campus

Nurses outnumber all healthcare practitioners, with demand on the rise. In the first quarter of 2023, registered nurses were considered the most in-demand job in the US. With a bachelor’s degree in Nursing through NAU, you will gain skills in leadership, collaboration, and critical thinking that will provide the foundation you need to succeed in this dynamic career field.

A nursing degree creates career potential

The career opportunities are endless: from hospitals, community health agencies, schools, businesses, and research facilities. Shape your degree path to fit your needs by choosing from one of our programs.

Our popular, four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program is offered on four NAU campuses around the state of Arizona. As a student, you’ll pursue courses in sequence over five semesters. After graduation, you’ll be eligible to take the national licensing exam for registered nurses (NCLEX-RN).

Compare nursing bachelor’s and undergraduate degrees

Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree: an in-person NAU nursing program with a few courses offered online, including Nursing History. If you’re interested in applying, see instructions and requirements checklist for applying to our traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

RN to BSN program: online option to degree completion if you’ve already earned your associate’s degree and are a licensed nurse: an online classroom environment with a structured schedule.

Concurrent enrollment (AAS & BSN): earn your associate’s degree and your BSN at the same time in partnership with Arizona Western College. Students take nursing theory courses online through NAU while completing AWC’s in-person nursing program.

Mid-AAS program: Current Arizona Western College nursing students with one year of nursing courses completed may enroll in NAU’s RN to BSN program, complete their associate’s degree, and then earn their BSN by taking online NAU nursing theory courses.
