Checklist

In addition to the checklist found here, you can explore transfer equivalencies and map your journey using the JacksPath transfer portal.

  • A minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) in prerequisite courses. Please note, the minimum GPA of 3.0 does not guarantee admission to the program. Most successful applicants have a GPA well above 3.0.
  • Completion of all prerequisite courses with an average GPA of 3.0 or better. All prerequisite courses must be completed by the beginning of the program but can be “in progress” when applying. This includes prerequisite Liberal studies and Diversity courses; these can be fulfilled by obtaining an AGEC certificate from AWC (or another Arizona community college).
  • HESI Admission Assessment (A2) Exam. The exam results will be used as part of the process of ranking students. You must complete an online nursing application first, after it is reviewed you will receive instructions to register for the HESI A2 Exam..

Apply online

You must apply to NAU prior to completing an application. After completing your NAU application, fill out the online BSN application from the central NAU Department of Nursing. An NAU student ID number is required to apply to the Nursing program.
